New Features to Blogger.com

Wow... what we have been waiting for... Today Blogger.com announced the eliminatation of Blogger.com Beta and launched the new Blogger.com -- this did come with some inconveniences, however, it has wonderful new features... The biggest inconvenience? Users must have a Google Gmail account - no big deal though - you can sign up at gmail.com (but you need a cell phone to activate - if needed, just ask me - I have a few "invitations" left on my account.)

The new features include:
  • Improved Template Customization
  • Privacy (my favorite addition) - now it is possible to limit viewing of your blog to authorized users (just need to include their email addresses under the Permissions Setting) - perfect for classes, workshops or departments!
  • More Feed Options
  • New and Improved Dashboard
  • Instant Publishing

Dr. Ann Bailey, SACSA President presents the 2006 NASPA Region III Jim Scott Award in a surprise presentation at the 2006 Mid-Manager's Institute.

A special note of thanks to the entire MMI faculty for making this presentation possible - it truly means a great deal to me. :-)

Embedding Your Blog in a Web Page

Rather than list your blog as a link on your Rollins College web page, one of the easiest ways to hide the username.blogspot.com URL is to embed your journal in an <iframe> on a web page. Place the following on your page.

<center>
<iframe name="blogger" src="http://username.blogspot.com/" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" height="900" width="100%>
<href="http://username.blogspot.com/"></a>
</iframe>
</center>

You will need to replace "username" with your Blogger.com username.
